Some students use AI to help with their studies. It is useful for checking grammar, finding new words, and getting ideas. AI can also save time, especially for students who are not confident in English. I don’t think universities should ban AI because it can support learning. Students can still learn if they use it in the right way. Instead of banning it, universities should teach students how to use it properly.

Rewrite the paragraph to make it more formal and academic. Try to use at least 5 of the grammar features below. Focus on making the ideas more connected.

Studying at Sydney University, which is one of the leading universities in Australia, can be exciting and challenging for overseas students. To adapt well, it is important to understand the academic culture.  

Importantly, students are expected to be independent learners. This means they are responsible for managing their time and completing their assignments. Because they will not have teachers helping them. Being independent learners also means asking questions if help is needed. Additionally, participation is important. In tutorials and group discussions, students are encouraged to share their ideas. Even if their English is not perfect. Teachers value effort and different perspectives, can make the class more interesting for everyone.  

Other things also important to remember.  First, academic honesty is taken seriously. If information from books or websites are used in an assignment without citing the source, the work may be penalized. Therefore, students must make sure they learn how using proper citations to avoid plagiarism. Time management is also key. Deadlines for assignments are strict, so students must plan their time carefully.  

Finally, keep in mind that support services are available for all students. It is probably that you will use one or more of these services at some time.
