1Sydney is the capital city of the state of New South Wales.  2It is the largest city in Australia with a population of around 5.2 million.  3Its beautiful harbour is a popular attraction for both locals and tourists.  4However, its city centre has become increasingly congested with traffic. 5This has resulted in increased air pollution and also an increase in angry and frustrated commuters.  6The city council introduced measures to address the problem.   7These include very expensive parking fees and strict bus lanes and bicycle lanes to encourage commuters to leave their cars at home.  8Unfortunately, however, a high number of commuters continue to use their cars to drive into the city centre.
